Paint:

Along with whatever other colors you like, please bring:

white

cadmium yellow light or lemon

cadmium yellow medium or deep

cadmium red light or medium

quinacridone red or anthraquinoid red or alizarin crimson

ultramarine blue

phthalo blue

phthalo green or viridian

black

burnt sienna or transparent red oxide.

 

brushes:

several hog bristle brights in a range of sizes; e.g. 6, 8, 10

 

panels/canvas:

For one particular exercise, please bring 3 or 4 very small panels, around 6x8 inches.  Otherwise, I'm not particular about panel or canvas size - people usually have their own preferences.  In the interest of really getting somewhere with limited time, I generally paint fairly small while conducting workshops: 9x12, 11x14, 12x16, 14x18.

easel:

Please bring an easel suited to outdoor painting; e.g. french easel, pochade box, gloucester easel, soltek easel

... or rent a French pochade box easel from us for 50 euros.
