Yoga Holiday
with
Patricia Diart
Treat yourself to an exceptional week of indoor and outdoor site-specific yoga, held in a magical cave village in France. Practice yoga on the grassy banks of the river Loir, on a hill top overlooking the valley, or within a tufa cave in the troglodyte village of Trôo. Perched above the river Loir in the northern Loire Valley, this remarkable village
features cave houses dug into the hillside that provide stunning views over the village, river and valley. This will be our base for daily yoga, with van excursions to gorgeous chateaux, gardens and villages.

A Note from Instructor Patricia Diart
What could be more delightful than to practice yoga in the countryside of the Loire Valley, in a historic village once held by Richard the Lionheart and now known for it's uniquely beautiful cave houses? Come and practice yoga, and celebrate the gentle pace of La Douce France in the beautiful village of Trôo located on the Loir river, while staying in the lovely Moulin de la Plaine water mill property on the river Loi.
Morning yoga will be practiced outside on the mill house grounds along the river bank, weather permitting. Just across the river is Saint Jacques de Guérets with its 12th century church and frescoes, a stop along the ancient Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle pilgrimage route. Afternoon activities could include chanting in the church followed by a walking meditation along the pilgrimage route, yoga and meditation in a cave, a guided exploration of Trôo on foot, or visits to surrounding points of interest in our mini-van.
In the early evening, our practice will be a bit more vigorous, and expansive, a way to calm the mind after the bustle of touring the area. Inside the "grand atelier" there is a large space for yoga with sliding doors opening out across the grounds.
I work with all levels of yoga practitioners. I show modifications, and encourage all of my students to find their rhythm, and breath. I also want you to find your edge of challenge, and know that you will be held in a safe environment. Yoga can be joyful, fun, meditative and contemplative. Please join me next summer from June 15th - 22nd. And if you get a friend to sign up, you each get 100 euros off the price!!
Yoga Instructor Patricia Diart
In 1993, I began my study of Iyengar Yoga due to high levels of stress. This ancient art gave me the capacity to discover my natural healing process, and sense of ease. It also gave me strength, agility, and a more spacious mindset. Since 1996 to the present, I have traveled through India and attended long meditation retreats to discover how deep the mind/body relationship is in everything I do. Currently I am certified as a Yoga Teacher, Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer. Please see my website for more details. www.patriciadiart.com
