Our one week sketching & pastels holiday in Portugal takes place in Olhão, a traditional fishing port that is full of character and is the most authentically Portuguese town in the Algarve. The workshops are designed for all levels of artists, from pure beginners to the most experienced plein air artists

Stay in a beautifully restored guest house in the fishermen's quarter featuring light and airy private rooms with private bathrooms (all but one are ensuite) and a rooftop terrace. The guest house is booked exclusively for our group.

Sketch with Diane Olivier each morning and afternoon, in Olhão and on the barrier islands accessible by ferry. The group will come together for a show-and-tell each evening at our hotel with your sketchbooks

Capture the pretty waterfront, bustling market, fishing boats and ferries as well as the maze of cobbled back streets within the fishermen's quarter

Enjoy great fish in cafes frequented by locals. Breakfasts and home-cooked traditional Portuguese dinners are included in your rate, leaving you the freedom to choose from Olhão's many lunch spots and the island restaurants where we go on offsite days
